Master Degree in IT Law (M.A) (1 year) - University of Tartu
The IT Law Programme prepares highly qualified lawyers for work in law firms, ICT companies, government agencies, international organizations, consulting firms and research institutions, filling positions that require a detailed understanding and application of law and legal methods in the areas of ICT and cybersecurity.
The University of Tartu is the national university of Estonia. University of Tartu is the only classical university in the country and also the biggest and most prestigious university in Estonia. It was established by King Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden in 1632, thus being one of the oldest universities in Northern Europe.

Price/Fee: Full-time students receive a tuition waiver scholarship, otherwise tuition is 3400 EUR for the Master’s Programme and 2160 EUR for the Continuing Education Programme

Accomodation
Tartu Student Village is a non-profit organisation. Its founders are the University of Tartu and the Student Council. The main function of the Student Village is housing students, guests and the staff members of the University. Student Village owns eight fully functional dormitories. The dormitories are located in various places around the town.

Application Process:
1.General
The Deadline for applications is usually in early spring. For 2019-2020 admissions, apply before March 15.
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in law and very good grades in their law studies. The applications should be submitted online.
If your native language isn’t English, the applications require a proof of proficiency in English - the level not lower than B2 (following the Common Framework of Reference for Language approved by the Council of Europe).
All applications should include:
• a transcript of your previous studies,
• certified copy of ID or passport,
• an English language test, a personal statement.
2. Necessary Docs
a) University Bachelor degree certificate and its supplement (or its equivalent);
b) Proof of proficiency in English: level B2.
c) Certified copy of passport or ID card;
d) Motivation Letter.
Note: Successful candidates will be interviewed via Skype.

The IT Law Programme prepares highly qualified lawyers for work in law firms, ICT companies, government agencies, international organisations, consulting firms and research institutions, filling positions that require a detailed understanding and application of law and legal methods in the areas of ICT and cybersecurity. The graduates of the programme will be ready to perform interdisciplinary and comprehensive regulatory, analytical and expert work in this field, having all necessary skills to face the challenges posed by the extraterritoriality, novelty, and complexity of its problems. As the significance of ICT grows, there is also a growing need for technologically trained lawyers.
