UN Youth Association of Romania in cooperation with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung – Rule of Law Program South East Europe organises the fifth edition of the UN Youth Moot Courts, which will take in Bucharest, Romania.

Who?

Applications are open to all European students who are studying or have studied at least one of the following subjects:

- Public International Law

- International Relations, Public International Law, Human Rights

- European Union Law

Participants are also required to be proficient in English, as it is the official language of the competition.

What?

UN Youth Moot Courts is the only national competition where participants can apply for both the role of a judge and that of an advocate before the International Court of Justice, the European Court of Human Rights or the Court of Justice of the European Union. The purpose of the competition is to give students the opportunity to gain practical experience on how to prepare and present legal arguments and on how to debate current legal and social issues related to international law.

When?

Students can register until November 1, 2015. The event will take place between the December 4th and December 6th 2015 at the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest, and at the Bucharest Court of Appeal.
