What do 450 young people from several EU countries have to say to Europeans about the future of Europe, given Europe’s present challenges as seen in the rise of populism, economic inequality, voters’ disengagement and migration crisis? The European University College Association (EucA) is organising a revamped version of the original "Message to Europeans" to find out. At six events which will be held in the following years throughout the EU, about 60 participants from 12 EU countries will be engaged in several activities spanning from simulations, mock trials, British Parliamentary debates to PechaKuchas. The activities will allow an engaging reflection on the most urgent issues and rising topics populism, paired with an innovative online presence with the purpose of writing a "Message to the Europeans" on the future of Europe by enabling a critical and deep reflection on the EU as it is now.
EucA is looking for proactive self-starters from one of the 28 EU countries, Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia, Iceland, Norway or Liechtenstein with a passion for EU debates to participate in the project as student leaders, dedicating 3 hours per week to reach out and engage people in the debate.
Travel and accommodation to the project events will be covered by the project.
To apply, fill in the online application form before October 8, 2017.
